My name is Sebastian and I am the Head of Growth here at Medbelle, where it is our mission to build the first digital hospital. First of all, let me tell you what Medbelle is all about.

As the first digital hospital, we are rebuilding the patient experience for elective medical procedures from scratch (started with cosmetic, bariatric and eye surgery and now also orthopaedic). We work with the best surgeons and rent operating space from selected facilities - while providing an outstanding, digital-first and transparent patient experience and a personal patient care adviser to guide our patients from start to finish. This is what allows us to provide patients with a stellar level of care that we would love to experience ourselves. By also providing technology that integrates the entire patient journey for providers, we can reduce costs, make their lives much easier and, therefore, improve elective procedures across the quadruple aim: better outcomes, better patient experience, lower costs, better provider experience.

About the role

Backed by renowned international investors, we are providing an ever-growing number of patients with the highest quality of care the UK has to offer. Having grown from a few visionary early employees to a thriving post-Series A company in a short period of time, we are convinced that we already provide the best service available for patients. Our main challenge now is building a strong consumer brand and scaling our marketing communication.

We are now looking for an experienced direct-to-consumer VP of Marketing to build the most-trusted brand for medical procedures.

  • Define and execute the marketing strategy (supported by the Head of Growth & founders)
  • Help define and build the Medbelle consumer brand across multiple treatment verticals, both in the UK and soon internationally
  • Leverage existing market and user understanding and make the right choices to build on it
  • Manage the growth and optimisation of performance channels and partnerships and test and build out new ones mostly based on content and PR
  • Control marketing budgets and own marketing targets as well as strategic initiatives
  • Lead and grow a team of world-class marketers, both in-house and freelancers
  • Collaborate with the Patient Care, Product and Operations team to create the best possible patient experience and performance

Requirements

  • Proven experience in digital and offline marketing including at least 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience in digital, fast-paced companies, with significant experience in managing direct-to-consumer marketing budgets while owning a multi-million revenue and budget responsibility
  • Experience with building category-defining consumer brands
  • Strong understanding of data analysis methods and market & user research
  • Experience and understanding of all typical digital scale-up marketing channels with a very strong understanding of some
  • Fluent English, both verbally and in writing, German is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial and results-driven personality that is not only highly analytical but also creative and hands-on in nature
  • Cooperative leadership and communication style and passion to improve healthcare together with a team of visionaries
